Classes

Currently, she teaches exercise classes at the Downtown Nashville YMCA, at Fitness 1440 Nashville and for Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. YMCA members are welcome to take any of Kim's YMCA classes. Guests can attend classes at any Middle Tennessee YMCA. To attend her ChurchFIT classes, participants only need to sign up at www.theChurchFIT.org. Classes where Kim is substitute teaching at vary week to week. Currently, she teaches Barre, Pilates, Yoga, and Dance Blast.

Barre Class

Barre: Inspired by Ballet, Pilates and Yoga, this type of exercise is becoming more and more popular. These fusion classes have a ballet barre to challenge your balance, build lean muscles, promote better posture and build a stronger core. Classes also incorporate discs, exercise balls, hand weights, and yoga straps. These classes are not limited to facilities that have ballet barres in their studios.

Pilates class

Yoga / Pilates: These classes works on your mind-body connection. Mat Pilates is a great way to stretch and strengthen your body, especially the muscles of your core. In Yoga, the class works on breathing techniques, exercises and poses to strengthen entire body. Both classes use body-weight lifting to challenge the body. Kim stresses the damage leaning over a computer, cell phone or steering wheel can do to your shoulders and back over time.

Bridgestone

Dance Blast: In this format, participants are having so much fun that they do not realize they are exercising. Popular types are music styles are Salsa, Reggaeton, Belly Dance, Hip Hop, Merengue, Top 40 and fun songs heard on the radio. The moves are great for core strength while challenging our your heart and lungs.
